getting school paid for

I will hopefully be starting CRNA school next year and do not want to add to my debt from my first msn degree. I am will to sign a contract and work in the middle of no where to get this round of school paid for. Is there a website to find contracts or do you just have to start calling anesthesia companies to find one willing to pay for school. Thanks

You should inquire with the schools you want to attend.......namely the affiliated hospitals. They should be able to give you some info.

Re: getting school paid for

Most places that need CRNAs need them right now, and do not want to wait 2 or 3 years for you to graduate. Maybe some really big place that employs a lot of CRNAs will contract with you and pay for your schooling, since they will be sure they will still need CRNAs when you graduate.
But why lock yourself in to a certain place when you graduate? They will have you over a barrel (under contract), and you may not get top pay.
Look at the military - they will probably pay your way through school, but then you have to work for them for a LONG time to pay them back. And I probably make 4 times what you would start at in the service.
Just bite the bullet - take out loans and then pay them backafter graduation.
Just my opinion.

Re: getting school paid for

you will probably have to borrow for the first 6mos anyway, as even the big groups want to see that you are capable of staying in, given the pace of school. (you have to know somebody to get it paid before the six month mark.) so don't lock yourself in! debt is temporary, the wrong work environment can eat your soul.

Re: getting school paid for

be careful what you accept. you may find out you hate the rotation/facility/area/anesthesia group, etc... most places i've come across will talk to you along the way, and i have heard from several that they would be willing to pay off your loans if you work for them. there will be plenty of time, so i wouldn't worry about the loans and stuff.
