Getting in....

Hey guys! I'm a new member and I have what might be an annoying question.... I'm currently in my junior year as a BSN student and I'm having a lot of fun in the field of nursing so far and I plan to become a CRNA!! But my question is exactly how hard is it to get into a CRNA program?? Compared to PA,MD, or DO?? I have had trouble finding entrance statistics to a CRNA program and I was wondering if any of you knew what the average GPA,GRE scores...etc?? Also ( I know i have alot of questions) is the second semester in O-Chem required? Thank you for your help ahead of time!

Requirements for admission are different for every school. It is hard to say what the average GRE, GPA, etc..is because all schools look at those things differently. For example, one might emphasize a high GRE, while another looks more favorably on a high GPA and good ICU experience. From what I understand, the best thing to do is call the schools you are interested in and ask them what they look for in a successful candidate. As for O-chem, many schools do not require organic chemistry at all (although it certainly cannot hurt), and I do not know a single program that requires two semesters of organic...one is sufficient. Also, you might try reading the thread at the top of the board entitled FAQ...it answers many questions regarding CRNA school.
