Question Employment questions

I was just wondering if anyone knows of disadvantages of obtaining a job through a staffing agency. Is there anything that I need to be aware of. It sounds pretty appealing that a company will take my requests, and find a job for me. What are the drawbacks of this (Besides not ending up exactly where I want to)?

Has anyone else out there gone through a staffing agency?

What are some thoughts?

I graduate in 2004, and am presently making some contacts with various facilities/agencies to that I am prepared and find what I am looking for.

Yes , I know of one big disadvantage....they will lie to you. Becareful who you use. Ask around to other CRNAs that you know and trust and see if they can recommend someone.

I finish 5/2003 and I am in the hunt right now, I don't think you need a headhunter, do the work yourself and pocket that finders fee!!

As far as looking for a job now, unless you are looking for something to help pay for your school I would wait till you get closer to 2004, and sit back and see what your upper classmates do and where they go and find out who they used or contacts for jobs. Get'em to hook you up!!

Lee,

Thanks for the advice. I was looking at GasJobs.com, and found a lot of appealing offerings, but you have to go through staffing agencies, not the facilities themselves. Where are you graduating from? Take care,

John
