Hi, guys. I'm an aspiring CRNA going through BSN program right now. I'm writing a professional development paper and wonder if anyone could clarify the "practice requirement" of continuing education. Thank you for any help offered.

It would depend on your state. In TX the BON is going to only type 1 CEU's. I would check with the BON in your state.

Are you referring to the practice requirement for recertification as a CRNA? If so a CRNA must attest that they are substantially involved in some aspect of Nurse Anesthesia Practice which can include clinical practice, education, research, or departmental administration. I think there is an hours component but I don't recall it at this moment.

Are you referring to how many CEs a CRNA must have in order to recertify? The answer is 40 CEs every 2 years.
