you are never too old to learn. I got my nursing license when I was 38 and i have no regrets... I was a Nursing Assistant then a CNA then a HHA and now a proud LVN/LPN. I learned how to respect my CNAs since I was in their shoes at one time or another. I want more education..the nursing profession is always changing and there is alot of information out there to be obtained. Good luck with your new found career...it is rewarding at it's best...and don't give up just cause it gets alittle difficult. ( I found that out the hard way, how easy it is to give up..less I didn't).

You certainly CAN do it, a big help to you will be, like others have said, that your kids are older, so more self sufficient, and you say your husband is your best friend? That'll make it all the better Plus you have the motivation, and that's half the battle right there! I'm in my 3rd semester, graduating in Dec 05, will turn 37 that month too... divorced with 3 kids. No way are you too old. My friend will be 45 when she qualifies this year and I will be nearly 39. We are in the prime of ours lives and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. (except maybe when you do double shifts or don't go to bed til one and then get up at 5. ouch).

I am laughing! I am now 50. I am finished with my pre-requisits and am now currently waiting to get into nursing school full time. I will be quitting a full time job to go to school again. Are you you to old at 41? Not likely!!

By the way, what does CRNA mean? I have seen that a lot but I don't know what it is. Good luck. You will do great because you are following your higher self.

One (1) of my friends that I told said, that I was too old to begin and by the time I graduate with my RN degree I will be 41 at least. That is true I most likely will be 41 because I am going part-time. What do you think? I have prayed on it. God bless.
