Re: Starting rate for agency RNs in SE Michigan

hi godsgem!! i am under contract with coastal health professional staffing making $42/hr. i know they are one of the highest paying agencies. i signed on with them 1 year ago, i was only gonna do a 13 wk contract at oakwood but, i've liked it so much that i have stay for 1 year now. i worked at oakwood as staff about 5 years ago and hated it. things have changed there.. they have all new management... it has gotten much better! hope that helps!!

Re: Starting rate for agency RNs in SE Michigan

Moved thread to MI forum since it is specific to working in Michigan and that state alone.

You will get more responses that way.

You may also wish to check out per diem rates at some of the hospitals that you are interested in. Pay will be about the same, and not as many cancellations.

Re: Starting rate for agency RNs in SE Michigan

I work for a staffing agency that staffs pretty much all the major health systems and hospitals in the metro detroit area. We are bit smaller and much more personal than some of the other agencies out there. Our starting rates in ICU are up to $39 per hour. All rates depend on shift, facility and a variety of other variables, but that's a good baseline for you.

Due to the "no recruiting" rule in the terms here I won't disclose the company name or anything but if you're interested you can email me at npeters@ahsllc.com and I'll be happy to discuss positions that are available with you!

Good luck!
Nicole
