Michigan Nursing Summit - Aug 9-10, 2007

2007 Michigan Nursing Summit: Leading the Way to Excellence in Practice & Education will be held August 9 & 10, 2007 at the Ritz-Carlton in Dearborn.

The Michigan Center for Nursing and the Michigan League for Nursing invites you to the 2007 Michigan Nursing Summit. We are building a great program for this year’s Summit. We are combining the Nursing Summit (Practice) and the Education Summit (Education) to have a Super Summit in 2007.

The Summit will include strands on Nursing Trends & Data, Best Practices and Nursing Education. Breakout sessions featuring: Appreciative Inquiry; Technology (PDAs, Simulation); Diversity (Recruiting & Retaining); Pain Management by Katie Kessler; State Board of Nursing update by Margie Clark; State of Nursing 2007 by Jeanette Klemczak, Michigan’s Chief Nurse Executive; Nursing Research; Role Redesign; Partnerships; and Innovations for on-boarding and precepting.
Keynote Presentations: Jo Manion, PhD will speak on “Creating a Positive Environment in any Workplace” and Barb Bancroft RN, MSN, PNP will present on Taking Care of the Caregiver: “To Your Health.”
