Accerated=Accelerated, sorry!

Any applicants for the accelerated BSN at UMass that starts Jan. 2009? Just wanted to get an idea of how many apply there each year and the likelihood of getting in!? Or where else are you applying?

It's going to be hard to wait until Oct.! SO......

What are you doing in the meantime? I am thinking about taking other pre req classes for other schools, but hate spending the money if I'm not even going to that school. It's the main frustration I have with nursing schools with such different requirements for the same program!

Any thoughts??

i applied too...i'm dying to find out! do you think we will have to wait until october? i've also been accepted to MCPHS, but UMASS is much cheaper! what was your GPA? i had taken several of the courses as an undergrad. i was not focused, and i was not thinking about the future. i didn't realize that i would actually need these classes again! soooo...my GPA is only around 3.5-3.65...something like that. i did have strong references though....we'll see. i hate the waiting!

Congrat's on getting into the other program! That's pretty exciting. I have a 3.4 undergrad, but 4.0 in all the pre-req's so hopefully that balances things out

I applied too!! Thanks for posting. I have multiple transcripts and not sure how they will calculate the overall GPA but my pre-reqs were a 3.7. I am getting freaked out by all the lending crisis talk too! It will make it more competitive to get loans for school.
Anyone else have trouble getting the application in b/c of the building change??
Just took Pharmacology over the summer to apply to ohio state- which i then decided not to apply to Am re-taking Stats (has to be in last five years) to apply to Oregon Health Sciences University.
Keeping me busy until the next application rears its ugly head.

Which other programs are you guys applying to?
I totally loved the cute little apartments I was spying on craigslist, fantasizing about living in Northampton and drinking beer in cute little pubs Which of course i will never have the time or money to do during school...

my undergrad was from umass, so i know the area.....northamptom is such a fun little town! i hope you get into umass so you can enojoy it while in school!

i also applied (and was accepted) into the MCPHS program...i think the applications are due by october....

Nothing yet....hopefully in the next 2 weeks or so. That way I will know if I have to apply to any other schools!
