Re: STCC anyone?

Congratulations. So exciting. I haven't gotten anything yet but I am pretty convinced I didn't get in due to the lack of classes I have. I have yet to take A & P II and Micro. I am taking A & P this summer and micro in the fall along with some og the other classes so by next time it comes to apply I should have a much better chance.

Good luck. Keep us informed of how it's going. September will be here before you know it.

Re: STCC anyone?

Thanks. I will have to remember her name for when I take it in September. How was the class? Is it as hard as it sounds?

I didnt get anything in the mail today. Don't they send out denial letters as well as the acceptance letters? I still have the 1% of hope. I registered for Psych 325 Human growth and development. The teacher is Terry G???

Re: STCC anyone?

Oh one other question? Hope you don't mind.
So what is the next step for you? Did they tell you what you have to do next? Or you just show up in Sept?

Re: STCC anyone?

If you take Micro with her it's not too bad. The other teacher packs on a lot of extra work. I have no idea when they send out denial letters, I would have though on the same day.

I took human growth and development. The instructor was another really really great teacher!!! Her classes are laid back but you learn so much, I think she is the head of the dept.

I think we have an orientation....I have no idea, I hope to find out soon!!

Re: STCC anyone?

Angela, first of all, take a deep breath
If you didn't get in this semester, it's not the end of the world, if means you have a whole year to take those prereqs and get in next year. I would HIGHLY recommend having most, if not all, of them done anyway before starting the nursing program. She's tough for clinical, but an excellent teacher. Don't now about the psych class, but she does have a psych background.
I know, it's probably not what you wanted to hear. But all good things come with time. Let us know how you're doing.

Re: STCC anyone?

Hi Everyone

Update:

Well I did got my denial letter for this fall. No suprise!!

I start A & P II tomorrow and Psych 325 online this week. I am excited!! Looking at what I have left after these summer classes is only 3 more pre reqs. Micro, Eng Comp II and Soc. I will take Micro and one of the others in the fall, if I am brave, I may do all three. Then I will be done and just have my actual nursing classes to do.. I hope I get accepted for Fall 2009. I got an A in my Eng Comp class I finished in May, so my grades are pretty good. I am thinking about taking the HESI over now that I will have had A & P II.

How are you doing kat? any more news from STCC for the fall. You must be so excited to start.
Chaotic~ Thanks I needed to hear that and yes it is Terry Glanville, Her intro was very nice and warm. I think I am going to like her too!
