Just a quick question regarding MGH hiring. If I could land a job as a tech would MGH hire me in a year once I have an ADN RN ? I know they will not hire me without experience fresh from school but by being an employee? I have 1 1/2 years experience as a tech at a surburban hospital.

They may or may not, as MGH typically hires new grads with a BSN. BUT that might be different you if can get a job as a PCA on a unit. Good Luck!

Hi, I'm nursing faculty at a small ASN program outside of Boston, and I want to clarify- I spoke with MGH nurse recruiter about a year ago, and she said to **please** let our students know that if they work at MGH in some capacity, that they may be hired as ASN nurses. I believe the same is true with Boston Childrens. I don't think my info is outdated, but the best way to verify would be give them a call. (I have a grad working at MGH and a grad at Boston Childrens and both of them were employed there as students. Hope this helps!
