How long to take NCLEX in MA

Hello,

I just registered for my NCLEX-RN with pearson Vue and sent my application in for an ATT (approval to test).

I am just wondering if someone can tell me how long it usually takes in MA to receive the ATT and schedule NCLEX-RN?

Thanks,

Swtooth

Hi, I was wondering the same so called Pearsonvue and I was told 4 weeks.
I then contacted my school and was told they sent our applications Monday and that it can take up to two weeks.
Hope that helps and good luck!!

Hi and thank you for your info

Just to clarify does It take four weeks to get the ATT (approval to test) or 4 weeks to acutally take the test after graduation?

4 (or 2) weeks to get the ATT and then you can schedule your test date.

I took my exam in March and passed with 75 questions - lots of meds questions. Hardly anything on prioritization or delegation which surprised me because I was told to expect lots of those questions. I did take a review course (Anderson), reviewed my fundamentals book and did tons of practice questions - mostly Saunders and Kaplan. Overall I felt I could've prepared a little more - but I think I would've felt the same if I had studied every day for a year. The main thing is to be confident in what you know and stay positive. Don't dwell on questions that you don't know the answer to...answer as best as you can and move on......Hope that helps!

Good luck!

Hi Carrie..Congrats!
I'm curious, how much time did you take after the Anderson review to study before scheduling the test.

Hi Janine-

I finished the Anderson review in mid-January and took my NCLEX on March 20th. Anderson recommended taking NCLEX within 4 weeks after the review but I knew that working full-time plus 2 business trips in February would not allow me to study as much as I wanted to within that 4-wk time frame. I ended up with about 8 weeks between Anderson and the NCLEX. Some of my classmates took their exams in mid-February and passed. So I guess it depends on how much time you can devote to studying between the review and when you can schedule the exam...
