I am a direct-entry master's student, eligible to sit for the boards this summer, graduating in December of this year. I accepted a job in Massachusetts, so am planning to get my initial licensure there. I was looking at the license application form and it asks for the school to certify that I have graduated from our program. All fine and good, except that... I won't have graduated from the program yet! So how do they get around that? There is a box to check on the app stating that I'm a direct-entry master's student, but nothing saying what we're supposed to submit as proof that we're eligible to sit for the NCLEX. Is a letter from my program outlining the courses/clinicals completed sufficient?

I am hoping that there are some direct-entry RNs in Massachusetts who can shed some light on what they were required to submit to prove eligibility to sit for the boards. Many thanks!

A coworker who is also in a direct masters program (MGH) just took and passed her boards. I will ask her about it. Or maybe you can contact your school as they fill out the needed info for the application.

Thanks... I already tried asking my school, but they didn't seem to know how it works. Heck, they don't seem to be clear on what we need to do in our own state! I appreciate your reply, though!
