does anyone know about working for the Boston Healthcare for the Homeless program/organization? St. Francis House, Barbara McInnis house, or Pine street inn?
I'm interested in working for them. I'd love to hear your feedback.
Did you check out their website? I know Barbara McGinnis is moving soon (across the street from BMC) and they were hiring a while ago, not sure if they still are. For a new grad the pay and benefits can't be beat.
I can tell you that they use a med cart and patients line up for their meds...assistants take all vital signs..everything is charted (no computers). I know with the move they want to try more bedside nursing..maybe assessments, etc. The pt load is high...I think about 18:1.
Hi,
I worked there for 2 years at the McInnis House and at the Pine Street Inn clinic. It is a really great place to work, especially if you are interested in community health! Let me know if you have any specific questions
