Re: Applying to UMASS Boston ...

Hi 617Mom:

I 'm starting my BS in Nursing this September at UMASS Boston!
It's * not * easy to get in, that's for sure. They take 160 students in the Fall and 40 in the Spring semester.

There were 960 applicants for the 160 spots in this upcoming fall's cohort.

I have a BA as well (and a Master's in Ed) and I expect to be able to transfer a significant number of my credits. I was told that I'll need between 2.5 and 3 years to complete the program.

I love UMASS ..it appears the program is well-organized, supportive and well-equipped (there's a new patient sim lab on campus).

PM me if you like ..I have some thoughts about how to increase your chances of acceptance.

Best of luck, Erica
