I agree with this post, for "Healthcare Provider" level of CPR certification, I went to Carney Hospital when I first entered the ADN program 2 years ago....the certification last for 2 yrs.....So I did not have to renew until September this year......and yes I went back there as an RN to do this. There were many RN's there and other health care workers and nursing students. Also very economical!!!

All the best to you........it's a great and rewarding career....

Re: Anyone starting SP07 RN associate degree at BHCC?

i applied for fall admission to the weekend program at BHCC. i have a 3.9 GPA. i got a 91 average on the TEAS. i hope that's good enough to get me in, although i do have a W on my transcript, which will count against me.

a student in the BHCC day program told me it is very hard to get accepted if you are a white female (like me) -- she said they take minority applicants (including men) first.

i am also considering UMASS Boston. i already have a degree, so i can transfer a lot of my credits. does anyone know how hard it is to get into the UMASS BSN program?

I'm not sure about the number of minorities they look at to let into the program......but I am a male , got a 88 on the TEAS, had around a 3.4 GPA and still didn't get in! This was 3 years ago so I dont know what has changed. After applying twice i gave up and was accepted to my second choice school. Someone told me that due to the number of applicants (300 back then), having a prior degree helps alot.
