Take it from one who knows - sign-on bonuses are sometimes a sign of a hospital that is desparate for nurses, because of poor workiing conditions.

There are bonuses at various facilities....depending how bad they need nurses. As someone mentioned, often it can be due to poor working conditions, crappy pay etc... Best of luck to you.

Almost all the hospitals offer some sort of sign on bonus in the Balt-DC cooridor. Even the well known good hospitals

I will second that !!!!! I learned that the hard way.... but I stayed a year and a day so I did not have to pay it back .....
