Does anyone work for Maxim? My husband has been in Maryland since February and I will be there next month.

I have been talking with CS out of that office. He told me LPN work is a little sparse right now but he has a place in downtown Baltimore that has lots of hours but the patients can be "very difficult".

I would have to go to a 4 hour orientation prior to starting and he has only had 2 nurses do the orientation.

Does anyone know what he is talking about? And what rate of pay should I ask for this very difficult patient population?

Also, how long does it take to get from the east side of Columbia to downtown Baltimore? Is there transit or personal vehicle only?

I need to make the most that I can when I get there to make up for running 2 houses for the last 5 months but I'm not familiar with employers, facilities or pay rates, really.

I would ask the name of the facility. I've been working in Md for 12 years now....I don't know why they say the work is scarce. Maybe you need to try another agency...Good luck..and let me know what they are offering you as far as pay...Should be 25-30/hr. But I hear that they underpay.
