Re: Johns Hopkins & Johns Hopkins Bayview

Jules-
You're jinxing me!
I haven't even interviewed yet and you're giving me the job! What do you know that I don't?
I jest.
Anyway, I was thinking since I'm a young single female, I might find some roommates with a house or larger apartment so it would be cheaper and I can meet people. I am familiar with the White Marsh area. It is quite nice.
Thanks again for all of your help!
Jess

Lol, how could they NOT love you? No worries I have the feeling you will have your choice.

If you are going to have roommates check out Federal Hill and Fells Point also. They are expensive for singles but really nice city neighborhoods.

Question Re: Johns Hopkins & Johns Hopkins Bayview

Hi! I was going to ask how the interview at JHBMC went but I see in your recent post you were asking questions about GBMC. I have been at Bayview for 5+ years (NICU first and most recent PACU). I really like working at Bayview. Prior to Bayview I was working at Univ of MD (7-8yrs)and then did agency. After several long-term assignments at Bayview, I decided to leave agency and join the "staff". Good Luck to you in whatever you choose! Keep us updated.

I had my interview today, actually! I don't know how I did. I had an interview at a different facility two weeks ago that I thought went wonderfully, but I didn't get the job, so now my confidence is gone.
Thanks, though! I will keep everyone updated!

Re: Johns Hopkins & Johns Hopkins Bayview

My first job was at the JHH and I learned things there that kept me ahead for the rest of my career. That is definitely the place to go in Baltimore. Good Luck!

Thanks, but you know what? The nurse recruiter I spoke with was quite rude to me. She told me I might not be cut out for nursing. Seriously. Usually the nurse recruiter is the nicest person one deals with, so I don't know what to do about that now...

Re: Johns Hopkins & Johns Hopkins Bayview

Ignore it!! There is usually more than one recruitor at Hopkins. You can work any where you want to...remember there is a nursing shortage every where, Hokins included. Try University of Maryland, another option for you.

Who was your recruiter? Mine was so nice. And what would prompt anyone to say that?
