ATT: Turnaround Time

Has anyone applied to the board recently? How long did it take you to receive your att after sending in all your paperwork? Also is it ok to submit the fingerpirnts before your application is sent in??

thanks
Elise

OMG they are killing me. It has been almost a month but I heard another school that got them in a week.

Re: ATT: Turnaround Time

Just curious what is the ATT? Is this something you need in order to take your NCLEX?

yes, you get an Authorization to Test from PearsonVue (the company that procters the test) once all your paperwork has cleared from the board.

Re: ATT: Turnaround Time

Wow, so you finally finish school and graduate and then you have to wait for an ATT just to take the NCLEX? So it could be another 3 months before you actually get your license from the time you graduate? That's only assuming you pass the first time, talk about nerve wracking!

Re: ATT: Turnaround Time

God bless the person who started this thread.
Can everyone post their turnaround time? Please....I really need to know.
if only i coulda had a job in PA, i'd only have to wait for 2 weeks. I've decided to apply for initial lincensure from MD because i don't know why i should pay the state of pennsylvania and pay MD again. Besides, i heard it can take more than 2months if you apply for lincensure by endorsement so i think i'll play it safe. The fact that my school is in PA makes me think it might take them a month to give me the ATT.

Hooray!! I mailed my paperwork last friday night and got my ATT today. That's less that a week in turnaround time. I'm very impressed! and anxious and excited and scared... I got the earliest date: 7/1. Pray for me!

OMG. I am so happy for you. It's gonna cost me more but i'll apply for initial lincensure from MD.
Do you mind me asking how you got the paper work? The md BON website isn't the best i've seen. Why can't they have the forms for us to download?!
I appreciate your feedback.

I sent an email request from the website and probably got the application within 2 weeks. I applied to pearsonvue online, got my fingerprints done here in pa, got my school to do their thing and sent it all in last week. I did request my ATT come via email instead of snail mail--dunno if that made a difference in the time as well. good luck to you!

Glad you are impressed now. Just wait until you take your exam and a week later they still have you as pending because they have so many applications to process.
