Thought we could get a little thread going on.

I don't know about everyone else, but I don't know HOW on Earth I'm going to make it to decision time. I KNOW decisions aren't announced until December 15, but I still come home each day checking email and mail for ANYTHING JHU related! JHU has been my dream for almost two years.

I still can't believe 1000 applicants for 100 seats. Blows my mind.

Anyways, so what's everyone applying for? Accelerated or Traditional? Direct-Entry or not?

I decided to go Traditional. I've worked so hard that if I get in, I want to enjoy JHU and Baltimore. I want to get involved in as much as possible, and intern at JHU during the summer.

Can't wait to hear from everyone!!

So, uh, is this a sign that not many people applied this year and i have a shot, or what?

i do have a question for anyone who applied early decision in the past. i keep hearing for the regular deadline, they called those accepted the day the letters came out. does anyone know if they do the same thing for early decision? and I suppose there's no chance word will come out BEFORE December 15..(man, I need some sleep!!)

Did you apply early decision?

Kinda freaking out at the minute because just found out my school's not releasing grade reports or unofficial transcripts until the 19th, and announcements are made on the 15th..ayiyi!!(edit: nevermind, talked to my uni's registrar, and he said just come this monday, hopefully that's enough time! )

I did apply early decision and just found out I got in! I've just got to pass microbio with a B. (This shouldn't be a problem but I am driven by anxiety so of course it makes me a little nervous.) I am from California. Grew up in Berkeley, now I live in Oakland (where I've been doing prerequisites at community college) and I have an undergrad BA from UCLA. How about you? I've never been to Baltimore but am thinking it might be time to plan a trip! Best of luck! How long is the traditional program?

I know another person who got accepted for early decision this week, so JHUSON are in the process of contacting people now. If you are not there live, I don't think they leave a message. They want to tell you live. Good luck.

I guess when I fax them my updated unofficial transcript Monday, I'll ask. Can't hurt.

Hang in there Peachy. It could be they are going down a list and there are only so many hours in the day to contact applicants! If your name is toward the end of the alphabet, it could be next week. Don't stress out over things you cannot control. You'll find out by Dec 15th!

Hehe, you're making me smile, and I appreciate it.

Unfortunately, my last name starts with a B.

I did like the Namaste. I tried yoga a couple of times and loved it. I was home to try the Bikram yoga studio in Baltimore.
