USM program

I am looking for comments from anyone who has attended USM's accelerated BSN program. I was accepted for May 2007!! I am excited, anxious and planning to love it, but would like to hear about others' experiences in the program. Thanks in advance.

Re: USM program

Hi i just graduated this past august. it was very tough at times, but worth it to get the degree in a short time. I can't say it was the greatest program, but most of the instructors are great. the hardest part is the time management!! but it all goes by quickly and you are done before you know it good luck!!

Re: USM program

Thanks! I have to admit that I have not been working as much as I should for this degree. I am excited to be done next year though. What do you think would make the program better?

Re: USM program

the majority of my complaints are more regarding the administrative side; the program set up (when and where classes are, scheduling, lack of orientation info, etc). a lot seemed to be luck in where and when your clinicals were, and with whom. there is a lot of disparity between the clinical instructors; what they require, etc. i don't want to discourage you though! i think it was good overall, and it got me to where i want to be. just don't let fellow students stress you out (some tend to be a bit high-strung)!! i think the key is to have good self-organization and flexibility. i am sure it will be great! it is very exciting to be learning the "core" stuff, and have it concentrated; you really can sink your teeth in, and stay fresh on material. congrats again!
