I have a friend looking to take a Critical Care Course in Maine, sometime within the next 6 months, give or take. Does anyone know where they offer them, or if there are any to take at all? Thanks for any help!

I haven't heard of any hospitals doing that up here. If there happens to be one I bet it would be at Maine Medical Center in Portland.

Look up your local community colleges/ or on line programs.

I live in Northern Ontario and had searched that route and found some.

Maine Medical Center definitely offers a program, and they have an excellent CVICU.

I've seen some critical care training programs and some speciality training programs for RNs in some Canadian universities, ie. University of New Brunswick, U of Ottawa. But I've never seen similar programs in United States Universities or Colleges.

I'm familiar with some Canadian ones but was really looking for something in Maine.
