Okay- I am about to start school this summer for nursing- I'm spreading out my pre-reqs since I need to keep a full time job (at least for now) I'm content at my current job but there are 2 hospitals in the area that after being employed for 90 days I'd be eligible for tuition reimbursement. I'm having a hard time getting answers to this question- What are some positions at most hospitals that do not require any medical training or courses. I currently hold an administrative position and am very good with computers/typing/clerical work. Many jobs I've been able to find at hospitals require these skills but also require some sort of medical terminology course or something like that. I guess I'm jsut wondering what might be available to someone like me who has no previous experience in the medical field- only clerical/administrative type work? Any info. would be great! I worked at a hospital for 5 years and from my experience these are the positions that do not require previous medical work:

--clerk positions: day surgery's clerks, outpatient admitt, ER admitt, and radiology clerks.
--technical assistants for radiology (hanging x-rays, etc.)
--file clerks in x-ray
--file clerks in medical records
--patient transporters
--housekeeping
--cafeteria

As you can see there are several opportunities that you may want to grab if available. I know the hospital I worked for did the tuition reimbursement also but I wasn't attending school at the time. Now you've got me thinking of possibly returning! Good luck!
