Anyone know what the RN new grad pay is for at Tulane hospital? or what it is like to work there?

It is 22 dollars an hour base...And I would NEVER work there. I had all my clinicals for nursing school there. It is dog eat dog and I don't think I ever saw one nurse ever help another. Most of the floors smell terrible and Administration....please don't get me started!!!! Most nurses that worked agency there said it was the worst hospital they had ever worked in I don't blame them. They could offer tons of money and to me it still wouldn't be worth it. I work on the North Shore and Love it!!!!!

Don't know much about new grad pay, as I'm an "older" nurse, but I've worked there for almost 3 years now and I have to say that I disagree with the previous poster about the administration and the nurses. My experiences haven't been bad at all. I've worked in hospitals all over the city, the northshore included, and while Tulane isn't the best in some areas, it most certainly isn't the worst either.

My coworkers are awesome, BTW.

Did you have to pay Tulane back for not working at one of their hospitals. (or do you work at one of their hospitals?)

The hospital I work at currently paid off my debt to Tulane. I LOVE where I work, the floor I work on is organized, smells clean and we all help each other out. I don't miss the commute to the city.
