OLOLC/Tulane- need advice

I was accepted to Charity School of Nursing but would like to attend OLOLC's program instead. Any advice? If I am good enough to be accepted to Charity could I presume that I would have a better than average chance at OLOLC?

Thanks

Re: OLOLC/Tulane- need advice

Well the requirements are different in the fact that OLOLC picks a certain number of applicants who they think are qualified and then Tulane picks the fifty they want by interviewing. You also must have your Bachelor's degree and be in the process or have your pre'req's finished. I am in the program currently and love it. It is a huge commitment though. I study between 4-5 hours most nights. It's only a nine month program so everything is so fast paced. You have no time to work and little time for any social life. There is also a contract to work for Tulane for 2 yrs. after as well. BUT Tulane is a top paying hospital, and will be good experience for an individual since it is a teaching hospital. Good luck.

Re: OLOLC/Tulane- need advice

dsoginer- I am wondering the same things. I know both schools have wonderful programs, but the thought of being able to complete the OLOLC's program in a shorter period of time is very appealing. I am just worried about how competitive it is to be accepted. I think the program only accepts 50 students per year. Anyone know specifically what they are looking for other than finished pre-reqs and a 4 year degree?
