Re: Charity Spring 09

I'm waiting on my acceptance letter for Spring 2009.
I kinda doubt that I will get in because I heard that they're really picky. It seems like they rather pick students that already have a degree. The reason I say that is because my friend applied last semester and she didn't get in. Even though she is a 4.0 student and got an 80 on her TEAS!!

Re: Charity Spring 09

It has nothing to do with having a degree. They pick by a well rounded standard. You get points for many different aspects, like how many prereqs you have done, etc. Also, they lost a lot of instructors with Katrina, so spots in classes are limited. I just finished my 1st semester and am anxiously waiting to see if I can get a spot for next semester. Hang in there, it'll happen eventually...

Re: Charity Spring 09

I know they do the profile score with points, but it just seems like most people that get in have some sort of degree.
How do they decide who gets a spot for the next semester and who doesn't?? Is it based on grades?

Re: Charity Spring 09

Well, what happened in my case was that I had a "hold" on my registration, that turned out to be an error, but,,,all the classes filled up in the meantime. There is to be another registration during the summer, and the instructors all said there should be plenty of open spots,,,sadly because so many students either dropped or failed who had registered already. Since they won't be attending, or if they do, they will be repeating Basics, that leaves lots of open spots for NAC I.

Yeah I can imagine! haha

What do you think is a good TEAS score to get into Charity. Mine is a 77.1 but now I'm starting to think that it should've been higher!
