what tubing are you using

I started at a prestigious hospital a year ago where they are still using the IV tubing compatible with blunt needles as opposed to luer lock tubing with the cassettes. I was surprised to see this, because I feel it is pretty crappy. The alligator clips can come apart much easier than a luer-lock, IV piggybacks cannot be ran concurrently with these pumps, and you must stop the infusion to add volume--stupid. Everyone thought I was crazy when i questioned it and said the tubing I was accustomed was "so outdated". What is everyone using??

Re: what tubing are you using

We use the tubing that uses the alligator clips. I've never used any other kind, but I'm satisfied w/ this type.
