i have always wanted to go into CCU
i am working on the stepdown unit now IMU
I am an LVN
do you recommend lots of experience before transitioning over to CCU

I work at Spectrum Health in GR. In our we have seperate surgical and medical critical care units (CCU). I have seen some great RN come right from school. Experience helps, but it is not everything. Can you handle fast chaning and demanding situations? Can you deal with families that are in a crisis? In CCU often your families are more critical than your pts. Critical Care is great, if it's right for you!
