Are there any certification tests that can be taken besides the CCRN for competency in cardiovascular, pulmonary and renal systems? And how would I find the info to prepare and take the competency test. I would like to be knowledgeable in this area with a certificate/test to confirm at least the basics. Thanks in advance.

Re: Certifications

Why would you not just take the CCRN?

Re: Certifications

Depending on where you live, check out community colleges and see what they have to offer in "on line learning". For example, our local college offers the 2 below in Toronto.

Coronary Care level 1. (Intro. to heart, functions, rhythms, etc)
Coronary Care level 2. (More advanced, discuss heart blocks, etc)

Sometimes, just do a search for online learning, and be specific in what you are interested in. You will have to check each college and see what they have available.

Hope this helps.
