Questions about Louisville

Hi,

I am trying to find out about info on hospitals in the Louisville area.
I do L&D, mother/baby, well-newborn nursery and have 10 yrs experience. Can someone give me and idea what they start you off at per hour? Is there any needs in any of the hospitals you work for any of these depts? Do your hospitals ever hire travelers? I realize I will need to talk to the hospitals themselves for specifics, but just generalized ideas would help. Thank you.

Here are some links to get you started. We have lots of hospitals here- you should have no problem getting a position- even if you want travel. Last I heard, contract travel pay was about $30-$35/hr here. We do have a low cost of living as well.

http://www.nortonhealthcare.com/ (This is a system of several hospitals...I know for a fact that Norton in downtown Louisville has Mother/Well Baby, and so does Norton Suburban...don't know about the other Nortons)

http://www.baptisteast.com/ (They have a very nice OB/Mother-Baby set-up here...in fact, I'm having my baby here in Dec.)

Good luck to you!
