May 2007 grad looking for work

I will be graduating in May of 2007 and I need a good place to work that will give me enough orientation and training that I need to be out on my own. I live close to Lexington and I am in the RN program. Any suggestions?

Re: May 2007 grad looking for work

Well, I'm a nursing student too, so I won't be able to help you much. Before others try to help you, they will probably need to know what area of nursing you want to go into. For instance, not all hospitals will accept new grads into their ob units, all hospitals don't have a CVICU, and so on. So, if you post what area you are interest in, maybe you'll get some good responses. I'll be in your position looking for jobs in about 1 more year. Best of luck to you.

If you aren't opposed to coming a bit more north....St. Elizabeth is a GREAT place to work and a Magnet Hospital to boot. Check them out. Also Health Alliance has a great RE-LO package I thought I heard close to 15K worth of benefits, since you're out of the area you should qualify

How about UK Hospital? My sister used to work at UK Hopsital in ER before she moved here to Louisville, KY. She transferred from UK to UofL. She now works for UofL Hospital and tells me about how busy and crowded it is there with patients.
