Question Forced Csection Paper

Hello,
I am new to the site! My name is Miya and I am working on a paper about Forced Csections and a woman’s reproductive rights. Is there anyone who I could talk to about this more with? Someone who has been involved in a situation like this somehow or at least could give me a better understanding of the laws ect? I really would appreciate it!
Thank you
Miya

Maybe this will help? I have always questioned my c-sections. I was told that my pelvis was "too small"- FYI- hard to imagine as big boned as I am!

I had c-section deliveries due to pre-eclampsia. Don't know if you would call them forced, but I was certainly given no option.

I had toxemia with my first 2 pregnancies and all the symtoms of it with my 3rd BUT midwife told me that because 2-3 had the same father there wasn't a chance of it with the 3rd baby. Never made any sense to me.
Also, I talked to a nurse that said the Dr.'s of medical card pt. opt for c-sections because that is the only way to recoop the losses on care for the pt. Apparently, medical assist. programs don't pay as much as say personal insurance. It wouldn't surprise me, I had a hard time even finding a Dr. that would take my med. card with my first pregnancy and was treated like cattle at that.
Thats my 2 cents...

On the subject of "forced" c/s. I question in our town the no VBAC policy. We used to have a form giving them all of the possible risks of VBAC'ing and they could refuse a C/S. That form no longer exists. No problems yet, but I see it coming...Someone is going to come in and insist on VBAC and all heck is going to break loose. The dr's right now are talking to pt's in the office, but what about the ones that missed lots of appt's or no pnc? I don't see how this is legal if they refuse, they refuse.
