pay scale for kansas city hospitals - staff

st. luke's said GN's and RNI's make between 19-20/hr. does anyone know if other hospitals have a better pay scale?

That sounds about right. I know that all HCA hospitals and KU Med start GN's at $19/hr (plus shift differential of course). I think that Children's Mercy is a little less than that.

Entry level RN:
In the area: Daytime: 18.50-19.50 night: 15% differential about 23/hour. Whole areas pay about same.

specialty hospital of mid-america pays lpns 20-25/hr and rns 30 and up. good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Every classmate of mine who went on to work at St. Luke's Downtown has already quit and moved on to other hospitals. Staffing was bad, they didn't have very good orientation, and they basically felt like they were taking their license in their own hands everytime they clocked in.
