I'm in the afternoon class. I assume you are in the morning class since I know both of the guys in my class. That means I am in the class right next door to you, in the articulation class from 9:30 till 12noon. I'm getting nervous about the assessment final. What about you?

Welcome! What part of Canada are you from?
I'm in Hillsboro, about 50 miles north of Wichita.

Newfoundland. an island on the far east coast. And I actually drove here to Derby from there...it was "fun."

Sorry it took me so long to get back to you but I haven't been at this site in a while. Yeah, I was in the morning class.

I did great on the final assessment. I think it helped to have my wife for my client - she was great and soooooo cooperative! I missed - I think - 4 things that I knew better than my own name. Like, I forgot to purcuss the abdomen; umm, and a couple of other things. Oh yeah, I forgot to palpate the femoral arteries if you can believe that. But the missed items were so dumb I was very unhappy. But I got a good grade in the class.

Are you excited about the Fall? I sure am. It will be fun I think.

Welcome from NorthEast Kansas

Hello to all Kansas Nurses! I just returned from Wichita, Kansas from the Kansas School Nurses Conference that was during the week of July 26-29, 2004. I highly recommend all school nurses in Kansas to try to go to conference which is held each year in Wichita, Kansas the last week of July. You are educated about various topics that help your practice and will support you to be a better school nurse. You also meet and network with school nurses from all over the state. Kansas does have a Kansas School Nurse Organization that is a strong support to school nurses in the state of Kansas and it provides great networking with other school nurses all over the state. I am on the Board of Directors and am also the Public Relations Chairman.
If you want more information you may E-Mail me at: nurse-linda@cox.net.
My school starts on August 3, 2004 with registration of students. I am very excited about this coming school year.
