Anyone w/ KU SON experience?

Does anyone have any experience with KU SON? I am going to have to apply to Baker U. (my first choice), Washburn U. (my third choice), and to KU (which is my second pick). I don't know anyone who has any experience with KU. I am wanting to know if it is more hands-on and technical like BU, or more book oriented like WU.
