Any SCC, West Burlington, Iowa nurses out there?

Hi, I would like to hear from nursing graduates of Southeastern Community College. Which campus is better to attend-Keokuk or West Burlington? I am 51 and was laid off from a healthcare job and am thinking of taking the CNA class from SCC in summer 2007. I have 20 plus years of a medical background having worked in home healthcare and in a medical lab. I realize there is age discrimination. Am I too old to get my CNA? I am in excellent health.

I graduated from West Burlington May 2006. So, what are you wanting to know. I would have to say my graduating class was probably the average age of 40's and even one lady was 62.

Hi Purple Rose, Was your graduating class for CNAs or LPNs? Did you take your CNA class at SCC West Burlington? If so does SCC help you find a job? Keep in touch.

I graduated with my RN. Yes I took my CNA there 3 1/2 years ago. No they don't help you find a job, but you will have no problem in that department!
