St Elizabeth School of Nursing?

I was wondering if there are any current St E students or alumni here. I am considering applying to the nursing school, and would like to know how students and former students feel about the St E.

Thank You
Lilac

I PM'd a member who had graduated there and asked her questions. She said it was a wonderful school and a great experience. I believe she said there was no waiting list. She said the instructors are tough but they want you to succeed.

Probably the school I would have went to if I hadn't changed my major.

Re: St Elizabeth School of Nursing?

Thank you for checking on that for me. I am really leaning toward St E. The only negative I have heard from people so far is that they don't have a summer program unless there are enough students. But that's fine with me-I wouldn't mind taking the summer off to work.

I will definitely continue looking into it.

Re: St Elizabeth School of Nursing?

I believe they are talking about STE in Lafayette. It's a 4 year program, right?

They have multiple options, a 4 yr, 3yr and an accelerate 2yr program. I'm doing the 2 yr program because I already have a bachelors.

Re: St Elizabeth School of Nursing?

Hi. I am going to be there for 4 years.. I'm kind of sad but, at the same time I just keep telling myself that the time will go by fast and it will be worth it in the end. Now I am just on pins and needles about the whole financial aid part of it.. Just worrying about how to get through this and get enough financial aid.

Re: St Elizabeth School of Nursing?

I graduated from St. E last July. It is a three year program, if you go year round. The first year is up at St. Josephs in Rensallier, about an hour away from Lafayette, then the other two years are in Lafayette, and some clinicals are in Indy. Its a good school, you get to do clinicals your first semester, passing meds by Christmas of your first semester, which is really nice. The instructors are really really tough, but they do want you to succeed. THey wil take about anyone, but the cut rate is crazy, my class started with 110 or something the first semester, and i think 30 graduated. Its a good program, you get your nursing diploma from St. E, and your BSN from St. Josephs. I"m a NICU nurse for St. VIncents in Indy.
