Question Curious about Distance Ed. in Indiana

Does Indiana allow nurses to add to their nursing licenses using online or distance education? If so what? The reason I am asking is that my first degree is in elementary education. The Indiana teacher licensing board has virtually made it impossible for an Indiana teacher to get licensed or renew a teaching license with online credit. If teachers cannot renew a license with online credit how can nurses do it? Just a question I thought I would throw out there and see what responses I get. I am deluged with popups about getting a masters in education or special education and cannot have that approved by the teaching board. So what standards are the nursing boards using to determine what online/distance education it will accept on a nursing license?

INdiana nurses don't have to keep continuing ed by law. Many workplaces demand it, but it isn't required by the state.

Not continuing ed - adding on like going from lpn to rn. If nurses can do this online in Indiana why not let teachers add on grade levels and specialities. It would seem to me that learning nursing online would be more difficult than learning to teach online.
