I want to continue on for my RN but don't want to return to school. I was wondering if there was an online course that is accredited by the state of Illinois. Thank you everyone for your help.
Hi,
I'm not sure if it would be possible for there to be an LPN to RN class that is completely online. I'm just graduating from an ADN program in Chicago and I think most of our clinical hours are required by the state. If we are absent for more than one clinical day per rotation, the school told us the time MUST be made up at the hospital. Otherwise we won't have the state-mandated amount of clinical hours to graduate. You may be able to find a program that has all the lectures online. If you decide can't find one online, I think DePaul University has an LPN-to-RN Bridge program that transitions students into the second year of the RN program at Truman College.
Good Luck,
Jen
