Re: Introductions

Hi guys! I just joined and am loving the community so far. Lots of encouragement, aids, study tips, etc.....I am going to attend the ABSN pgm at Loyola in May. If anyone has been through the pgm and has any tips on how to survive, I'd love to hear them. I am a single Mom, going back for my second degree, so I'm no spring chicken!

Re: Introductions

Hi Everyone,
My name is Carrie. As my user id states I'm desperately trying to get into an RN program. I have a BA in Management and worked as an accoutant for 10 years before deciding on a career change. I left my job 2 years ago and completed all my pre -reqs now I just need to get in! I'm thinking about doing an LPN program and then a bridge later...I'm getting a little long in the tooth to just keep banging on the doors of community colleges.... I'm looking forward to learning and sharing...... I currently work in an Assisted Living facility planning and implementing daily activities etc for residents with Dementia and Alzheimers.

Post Re: Introductions

Hi, I'm Connie. I have worked at Passavant Hospital in Jacksonville for 8 yrs and have been in Peds since Sept. 2003. I graduated from an ADN program in Missouri in 1990. I also have BSEd in Social Studies and English. I registered in May for an online MSN in Community Health program from Independence University. I am planning to become an advance practice nurse and possibly go to reservation work in the Southwest.

Re: Introductions

I'm hoping to attend CLC's nursing program in spring of '09. I am a second degree student. My first degree is a BS in biology from the University of Illinois. I have a son who is 9 months old. I am taking A&P at CLC this fall. I cannot wait to begin nursing school!
