Can anyone explain why it is that we can't use basic calculators on the NLN exam? I hate math. I'm really worried about that part of the NLN. I just finished a remedial algebra course. I am planning on taking a remedial geometry course. I'm just not fast at math.

That's why chemistry was so hard for me. I ended up getting a B, but I spent hours and hours of studying. I also hate those word problems.

Why no calculators on NLN exam?

Re: Introductions

Hello... just found this forum -- nice touch of a local nursing forum!

I'm an RN living in Pontiac, working (soon) in Peoria. So far specialty focuses on behavioral health and corrections, but will be changing over to ER nursing. Hooray!

Re: Introductions

Hi! I am in the far west burbs of Chicago. I graduated in December of 2005 and I am just taking a nursing position in a family practice office after staying at home. Very nervous about what I may have forgotten.
