Smile Hospitals-Chicago suburbs

Happy Sunday-
If anyone is from the chicagoland area I have a question for you...
We have to rank our hospital choices for school this year. Looks like we will be doing all clinicals form the same hospital. My choices are St. Alexius or Alexian brothers. Does anyone have anything to say about these? Good, bad or indifferent?
Thanks!
April

Re: Hospitals-Chicago suburbs

I work for doctors out of Alexian Brothers, I also delivered my children there. The nurses there are wonderful and I really like the hospital. My experiences with St. Alexius have made me not fond of this sister hospital. A family member of mine was there for a month and his care from start to finish on many different floors was not what it should have been. Also I have had friends deliver there whose care was not the greatest. Although I have heard recently that their labor and deliver was now rated quite high. Both hospitals are under construction. I live closer to St. Alexius but will travel always to Alexian Brothers. Where are you going to school?

Re: Hospitals-Chicago suburbs

I did my first med-surg rotation at Alexian out in Elk Grove. Very friendly people. However, I still think they're mostly paper charting but trying to get away from that. I would choose that facility.
