I am interested in working at Blue Cross Blue Shield as a case manager.Has anyone worked there? If so what was your experience with the company? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I applied but the travel time was too much. I have a couple of friends who did it and they liked it. One did Medicare only and said she didn't care for all the politics of it.

Re: Blue Cross Blue Shield

I applied for a similar job with BC/BS, and decided against it for 2 reasons: the commute and expense of parking would have been overwhelming, and because they only offered 1 week of vacation per year to new employees. Being used to 6 weeks vacation as a hospital employee, I couldn't imagine going back to just one!

Re: Blue Cross Blue Shield

Thanks for your input. I applied for a care manager at another insurance company. I have a face to face interview next week. I also applied for a onsite inpatient care advocate at the same company. I have a phone interview for this position next week as well. Wish me luck.
