Re: Anyone Accepted In Triton Spring 09'?

Hi Sandy--
I am a Triton 08 grad. Graduation is not until Saturday, but all of my classes are done. My class was a great class, filled with lots of smart people who fought tooth and nail to make it through. The class behind me has already lost 35 people and the semester is not over for them yet. I don't want to scare you, but it is a difficult program. Not impossible if you meet a good group of people to study with and if you make contacts from previous classes. The insight that a past student can give you is invaluable. I wish someone had pulled me aside and helped me through. I am happy to give you tips and even link you up with a few people who will be in the class ahead of you. Libner is the director of the program and she is actually a very kind, caring person. I liked her alot. There are also some other teachers who will really care about your success (Zak and Fritz). It does not mean they are easy cuz therethey are not, but you do get the feeling they actually care about you. Then there are those teachers who could care less. They are decent enough teachers, but they are very old school and think new nurses have it too easy. I have to say that Triton is a top notch program. I feel as though I am prepared and at the end of the day that is all you can really ask for. Now while I was going through it I had my issues because it is difficult, but I do feel like they provided me with the knowledge I needed to be successful. You can't ask for more than that. NCLEX pass rate if you don't already know is 95-100%.
Please feel free to PM me if you can and I will try and help more.
