(
I am holding on to the rumor that one can become a CNA then
Roll into a LPN program with aid from an employer.
Has anyone taken that path? I am looking at going to CSI's nursing program but I am wondering if it would be worth it to get my CNA and or LPN before
roling on to an RN program at a major College. I have a low GPA so I am hoping this career path will be more hands on and the classes will be more career oriented. Feedback will be much apretiated.)
I was a CNA, prepared for LVN as a single parent while working as a CNA and worked geriatrics, clincs, staffing agencies, and LTAC at different times as an LVN for about 6 years before I went back to school for the RN program. It felt like the RN program was easier because I had a lot knowledge about nursing, diagnosesis and interventions. In fact I went through it pregnant, had my baby during the program, stayed home only one weekend and passed through the program while others failed out of the program. Mostly because of the groundwork and experiences done during the LVN program. If I did it so can you!
