Re: Applying to Boise State

Hi again,
I have a question...My husband and I just applied for an apartment unit. We decided not to live on campus cause we really want to buy dogs as soon as we get there. Also, how much do LPNs get paid over there? We want to see just what we can afford before making any big commitments with the apartments. Thanks again.

Re: Applying to Boise State

Hey,

I am not sure about how much LPNs make but I can tell you how much graduate RNs are starting out at. Maybe that will give you an idea. Most of the local hospitals are starting out GNs at about $20.50 base. As for the apartment, I am sure that you have done all of the research on those particular apartments. Overall, Boise is a rather nice town. There are a few areas you would want to stay out of but that area is not one of them. It is not on the "outskirts" or anything. You will have plenty of closeby stores and eating.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need anymore help or have anymore questions. I am happy to help!

Re: Applying to Boise State

Oh Yeah, I wanted to add....When I was looking on that website the costs per month were also listed. I just wanted to let you know that those prices are very fair. I don't know if you are going for a 1 bedroom or 2 but you couldn't find much less without sacrificing quality. This price is average for apartment rentals around here.

Re: Applying to Boise State

okay great! thanks so much. Over here its $1300 for a two bedroom which is what we're getting over there. Glad to know its safe cause we already turned in our deposit. We can't wait we are getting super excited, I still haven't found out if I have to reapply to the program or if I could get in, in January. Wow, so new RNs get paid $20 something dollars, isn't that kind of low, or not? Thanks again, you've been such a great help. Hopefully we'll see you when we get there. Thanks again. Laters!

Re: Applying to Boise State

Friendly staff reminder: please do not place your (exact) living location, like apartments or streets of residence, on an open board. This is sensitive information on your part. PM each other instead off the board with this type of info. This site is highly Googled and Yahoo'd. I edited this thread to protect you.

Thanks,

Wolfie
