Hello anyone please,... I am a RN in Massachusetts, and i am currently thinking to relocate to either Maryland or Atlanta GA. Can someone please answer my questions,...
What is the base pay for and RN 0-1yr experience??
What are the chance of getting a hospital job with an Associate in Nursing degree??
I understand housing is cheaper,but how about other areas of expenses like grocery, gas, clothing, car, insurance etc, to sum up cost of living for what you get paid in GA??
I am a single mother to a six yr old boy, i also want to know about the school system for kids?
Is it easy to get into a RN-BSN program, and list of some schools please??

Are there any nurses there who can also help, who have relocate to GA from either MA, MD of VA who advice me. I really what to be sure before I move because I really don't want to be in a situation where I will have to move again.
I really want to work in a hospital, but in Massachusetts, most of the hospital are presently hiring only BSN nurses. Most of ADNs end up in nursing homes. MA is also very expensive and I am looking for much less expensive states with nicer weather and MD and GA are top of my list. Please I need advice. THANKS

Currently, the salary for new grads starts at approximately $22-23/hr.

What are the chance of getting a hospital job with an Associate in Nursing degree??

ADNs are prolific throughout all of the area hospitals as far as I know. There are many Associate programs in the state, so it isn't a huge deal. You might earn about 50 cents less per hour compared to the BSN-prepared nurses.

Let's put it this way... I moved here from NYC and my dollar definitely goes a long way in comparison. I feel like I can actually get by on the salary, pay my bills, and still have money to save. While I feel that we in the S.E. are underpaid compared to other areas of the country, the cost of living ratio to pay is not the worst but it's not the best.

East Cobb has the best school system in the metro area.

I know several bridge students and each one of them had no trouble getting into the program at Kennesaw State University (the only one I know of that has the bridge program... though not to say there aren't others out there... I just don't know any others) despite the incredible challenge to get into their traditional BSN program. That one is very, very hard to get accepted to, but the bridge program seems to have more openings than applicants.
