Is it really possible to take those science classes online? somehow i feel like i may end up reading the textbook and not having a clue about what's going on. I'm not too crazy about online classes.
If you don't want to put any instructor on blast on this website, send me a private message. I'm registered for Fall A&P1 on Tues/Thurs evenings at Lawrenceville but they still haven't posted the teacher's name so it's like Russian Roulette at the moment.
This is for all of those that want to reply to fazeila921's request for professors' names.
Posting professors' names on allnurses is against the terms of service for this website!!

Please see the terms of service before posting. We would not allow a post such as "John Doe is such a bad student" so we ask that you do not post "John Doe is such a bad professor."

I would suggest going to Rate My Professor.com. I always check there before registering. You will not see a lot of great reviews for A&P I & II... I think that is because the classes are a little challenging. I've not heard of a bad teacher for Micro... it's still a little challening.. but fun at the same time. Good Luck!

Re: GPC Fall 08?

Hello to you. I can answer your first question in that GPC does not have a waiting list. I do not know if there are any nursing schools that do not require nursing entrance exams but if you google "nursing schools Georgia", it should bring up most of the school websites. Good luck to you and God bless.

Re: GPC Fall 08?

Hello everyone! I'm new to the fourm but I will be attending GPC this fall (clarkston). You guys are really making me nervous about this program. However, it sounds like the program is extremely hard, which is different than being extremely bad. Hard I can deal with, but bad makes me think I won't be getting trained properly. Can someone, preferably a current student, please clarify?

I am a recent grad of GPC. The school is hard, but I tend to think that nursing school is hard in general, no matter where you attend. Properly trained?? Not a problem at GPC. I have had several nurses/managers at many different clinical sites saying they love GPC grads because they are so prepared. If you have specific questions, PM me.

Re: GPC Fall 08?

I am a current student at GPC in the nursing program and I agree with Lakemommy that yes, GPC Nursing is a hard program but you will be very well prepared to enter the nursing world after you graduate. I have also spoken with many who agree that GPC nurse graduates are some of the best at being prepared.

A lot of this is due to all the clinical time that you receive and also the requirements for learning your clinical skills. If you have any questions, please let me know. Good luck and God bless.

Re: GPC Fall 08?

Hi there:
You will not be penalized at all. I got really sick after my first Hep B shot so I signed the waiver to not have it done. You will just need to keep the nursing department updated for when you go in for your subsequent shots. PM me if you have any more questions.

Re: GPC Fall 08?

I think as long as you have started at least the first shot, it is ok.
If you are not getting the first shot....they may want to hold you from starting a clinical rotation. Good Luck
