Can i attend nursing school in the Atlanta area??

Hi, i have checked out the schools in Atlanta and surounding area's LPN and RN and it seems like they all have waitinglist, i have heard from this girl that there is a very small chance that i will get in. I think thats a shame, Atlanta and America needs more nurses ,they need to develop more programs.

Is it true that the Atlanta schools have long waiting list, and hard to get in to,?????????????

I have looked into Lanier Tech, Chattahoochie tech, Dekalb tech, Gwinnett tech, Griffin Tech, Georgia perimeter,

Are there any private schools wher eu get into right away but pay a bit more?

Thank you?

I don't know of any Atlanta area school that has a waiting list. Generally it is competative to get in but if you don't get in you have to apply again the next semester or year.

I do not know of any of the schools that have waiting lists in the Atlanta area either.

To answer Quilt's question, Georgia Perimeter College does have an LPN-RN program but it has already begun this year.

Good luck to you both and God bless.

Nursing school acceptance in Atlanta is pretty competitive. The average nursing student at Georgia State had mostly As in prerequisite courses with some Bs and NO Cs. Overall GPAs were in the high 3's. If you want to go accelerated, you have to be very competitive. However, it is not impossible to get in.
