I am a nursing student graduating in 09 with a BSN. I am really interested in working in an Atlanta area ICU (probably wanting to continue to do CRNA). Does anyone have an opinion on the best ICU to work in for graduate nurses to get the most/best experience possible? I am beginning to look just to get some ideas as to where I should apply. Any information would be appreciated! Thanks!!!

Re: atlanta icu

i've heard Grady to be the place to be if you want to get the best experiance...ofcourse there are places like Atlanta medical center, Emory, Pidmont and more. for new grad it is not easy to get ICU/ ER position fresh out of school( but it dependes..like where you went school and did your clinicals.....and more) if i were you i'll look to where i want to work and get nurse aide/extern position in that icu floor from NOW and do my applications for the RN position as early as Jan 09 (if you're gonna graduate in spring i mean ) good luck and best wishes !
